ABOUT PRADA:

The alluring streets of Milan have produced an astonishing number of fashion houses over the last century — the most prominent among them being Prada. Unlike its Italian counterpart Gucci, Prada is still under the creative direction of the family, with Miuccia Prada and her appointed co-director, Raf Simons, in creative control. The brand was founded in 1913, but Prada didn’t see worldwide success until the early eighties. Miuccia Prada began to introduce a series of nylon bags, an unconventional fabric at the time, but they soon began to turn heads. With each new handbag or ready-to-wear collection, Prada’s prominence grew.
