A prominent Parisian, fashion powerhouse. Hermes initially began in the year 1837, founded by Thierry Hermes, he was a purveyor of leather goods, primarily serving the carriage and saddlery trade. Soon the family run business moved into clothing and accessories, before creating it’s first ever handbag collection in 1922, as the wife of Emile-Maurice Hermes complained of not being able to find a bag to her liking. The brand moved forward with continual success, with notable items like the Kelly bag (popularised by Grace Kelly) and the Birkin becoming coveted by collectors and fashion connoisseurs. With Hermes historic commitment to exquisite craftsmanship, and timeless style, it remains one of the most iconic Parisian design houses.
